Why we built this

Most candidates walk into the computer-delivered IELTS having only ever practised on paper. The interface is unfamiliar, the timing feels different, and the tools — highlighting, note-taking, navigating between questions — are things they're using for the first time under exam pressure. That's a solvable problem, and it has nothing to do with English ability.

Our platform mirrors the official test environment closely, so the mechanics stop being a variable. What's left is your actual English — which is the only thing you should be tested on.

How the scoring works

Listening and Reading are marked against the official answer key and converted using standard band conversion tables. Writing and Speaking are assessed by AI models prompted with the official IELTS band descriptors — they read your essay or listen to your recording and score across the same four criteria a human examiner uses.

We want to be straightforward about the limits of that: an AI estimate is a preparation tool, not a substitute for an official result. It is very useful for tracking whether you're improving and for catching recurring mistakes. It is not a guarantee of the band you'll receive on test day.
